The Guadeloupe

The wonders of Guadeloupe are numerous.

The butterfly archipelago

Guadeloupe is distinguished by the great diversity of its landscapes and sites, but also by extraordinary flora and fauna. Its highest point is at 1,467 meters, at the Soufrière volcano, in the commune of Saint-Claude.

Benefiting from a tropical climate, rocked by winds called trade winds, the archipelago has temperatures varying between 23 and 32° C, the average being 27° C. Two seasons follow one another: Lent, dry season, January to June and wintering, wet season, from July to December

Its population amounts to 395,000 inhabitants in 2018, distributed among the 32 municipalities of the territory: ten for Grande-Terre, sixteen for Basse-Terre, three for Marie-Galante, two for Les Saintes, one for La Désirade.
