Hike in the rainforest

Basse-Terre is known for its dense and lush vegetation. If you want to explore, several hiking trails are accessible for all levels.

Climb Soufrière

The duration of the ascent is approximately 1h15 for 300 m of elevation via the Chemin des Dames and 1h35 via the Col de l'Échelle. The path is rocky and relatively easy to access, only the last 50 m of climb before reaching the summit are steeper, but wooden stairs greatly facilitate the ascent.
